Hey Gang,

I have a 28 Gallon bow front tank, and every two weeks I make a 5 gallon water change.

I make sure the SG and temp matches the tank water perfectly.

Well...Every time I make a water change, my pulsing xenia close up for 3 to 4 days. The practically shrivel up to nothing. After a few days they come back to life...pulsing and fully open.

Any ideas?

Rob

What other soft corals do u have in ir tank? Have u tried pouring the water in really slow and does the ph match? Also have u tried making them close by poking them maybe they just are fussy

I noticed Xenia likes nitrates. So when you do a water change you reduce nitrates which makes them unhappy. When i upgraded my skimmer all my Xenia died. Water is too clean for them
