What is this around my gfo

The gfo is tumbling well but I notice a white film building around the walls of the reactor. Calcium I'm assuming? Does anybody know if this is a problem or a sign of somthing that needs to be adjusted? This did not happen until more recently.

how often do you clean it , I would lean more towards salt build up , I make it a priority to clean all equipment bimonthly , I started doing this after removing a old skimmer that had no joke almost 6inch thick salt build up

That's a good question. I do t have anything like that in my reactors. Is want to take it apart and look.
