So I have this 10gal reef/fish tank which I only use RO with and also when first set up used live rock and live sand.

Now I have this green bugar stuff every where. Will this pass? Can I help it? Also I have a cheap protien skimmer / 94wtt day and artic light / hanging filter / heater / and a very small power head

Dinoflagellates or Dinos. Here is an article: http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-05/eb/index.php.

I had these not long ago and I made sure I got out all that I saw at first and then as they start coming back, use a turkey baster or do a small water change to get rid of what you see. Make sure you do your water changes on time and if you can, increase the amount.

Can you give us more info on the tank? Water parameters as of today/tomorrow? What fish are in the tank? How often do you change water and how much? Unless you fix the problem, they will return. For now though increase your water change amount and get it out of there.

I have

one clown (SM)
one shovel mouth (LG)
one scouter (SM)
one snail
one red shrimp
Had a clam (Didnt make it - he was burried by the shovel mouth)

I do water changes 50% weekly with presalted RO water

I guess what I need to do it scrap what I can out and keep up withthe water changes.

Also I was thinking about removing the hanging filter (Since im already doing weekly 50% changes) I think the hanging filter may be a nitrate pump

i think adding some more clean up crew would help. one snail isnt going to do alot by itself
