What to do for week vacation?

Hey guys i have a 7 inch oscar... what should i do for a week vacation? one of my friends suggested adding small hiding spots and adding a dozen minnows or gold fish and he can hunt over the week, but we all know how oscars are. well at least my will manage to eat 12 within the hour. any tips?

Large water change before you leave and that's it. He should be fine. The feeders will just cause him to foul the water more. Maybe see if someone can feed him a couple pellets mid week.

Not eatting for 7-9 days wont stress him out?

He'll be fine for a week. Leave the lights off, put on some classical music and he'll chill.. like Mike said though.. if you have a trusted friend that could pop in for a mid week feeding..
