What to feed corals?

Well I have a leather coral some antheas (spelling) zoos and mushrooms.

Should I be feeding these? If so can I feed them zooplankton like this?

Or should I get some type of a liquid food?

Can I just add it straight to the tank, or would the filter take it all out?

And should I even need to be feeding them?

I could be wrong, but from what I understand that is mostly for fish....my tang used to love it. For corals I feed liquid phytoplankton once per week.

I don't feed my corals anymore. I think as long as you have appropriate lighting and are doing regular water changes the corals don't need fed. They do get some food every time you feed the fish. But, if you feel better about feeding them, phytoplankton or DT's are good choices. Also, cyclops-eeze is another good choice for fish and corals.

if you're particular about phosphates, dt may not be a good choice. ive had success with not (some) feeding soft corals, but when it comes to hard corals ie acropora, then you'd have to think twice.

I have used Dt's in the past and it worked well for me. I now use liquil life coral plankton once in a while. I use cyclop once in a while for my LPS and the fish and shrimp love it.
As long as the lights are good they will be fine..

I asked Drs Foster Smith about Zooplankton and they said it should be fine...

They said as long as I dont over feed the filter shouldnt catch any.

Anyone have anything else to add?
