Why do my barbs fight...

after I change their water. I've noticed them doing this before. I just did a 50% water change and a thorough vacuuming of my gravel. Now two of my barbs are fighting. At least i think they are fighting. :lol: On second look it is my plump female albino tiger and a male normal tiger. They have been tapping noses, almost nipping at each others faces for five minutes and he is turning green. Anyone see this before??

By the way, I have been suspecting that she is prego. I've been watching for eggs due to an unusual weight gain. 8O
 
yep shes prolly carrying some eggs, the male is prolly claiming his territory if ya know what I mean, watch for the eggs to be in the leaves of plants
 
No kidding! I'll have to look up some pics to see what they look like. I want to see the eggs before they are gobbled up.

I saw some baby tiger barbs the other day at this brand new Petco by my work. They are just adorable.
