Will adding Female Platy help to reduce aggression in Swordtails?

So, in the learning process, I made the mistake of housing 2 male swordtails in my 20gal. Total of 2 male swordtails, 2 female swordtails and on male and one female platy. Male to male aggression really evident in the swordtails. I realise adding more females may help this but was wondering if it has to be female swordtails as I know that inter species breeding occurs?

My experience has been that adding more females doesn't make a difference. They either have room to get along or one dies, mainly from the stress I think.

It's worth a try, otherwise have you got someone that would take a male off your hands? Good luck
