I purchased a duncan over the weekend. It took about an hour after I put it in the tank to open up. Over the last couple of days it has closed up again and I'm worried that it might be dying. I have heard that they do go through periods like this but would like some input from you guys
My parameters are as follows:
Temp..78F
Sal..1.025
cal..400
alk..9.1
ph..8.0
mag..1300
nitrate... .02
amm..0
phos...0

Give it a few more days, they can take some time to get adjusted.

Thanks..How about lightning? Do they need intense light. I have an Orbit marine LED fixture over my tank. Softies seem to be doing good. Is this enough light for my duncan?

I had one under the same lighting that did well, it was finding its sweet spot with the flow.
