I picked up a fahaka puffer he's about 2" now he will be 18" max although from what I read they stay a little smaller, and also my fire eel which will get quite large too.

Great color on the Oscars! Hope mine look like that! Beautiful fish all around! How hard was it to find that festae?

Here's my Oscars. The black ones are about 4 inches now. The orange one is about 2.

I bought my current 6 F1's from CICHLIDSOFTHEAMERICAS.COM for roughly $20 each, then my older F3's are from a private party in GCCA for $8 each. Wild caught fish are collected 2-3 times per year which slows the amount of fish available, mine took me over 18 months to finally locate but now they are becoming more commom.

My monsters are still quite small at the moment. They are 5 Geophagus tapajos aka orange heads. They will max out around 8-10". Currently they are in my 75g and are about 3-5". I got pics of mine in my signature. Here's a shot of their daddy:

The biggest fish I keep are my Burundi frontosa. I have a group of nine, which I intend to thin out to two breeding groups. Currently held in a 6ft 120 gal tank(I think that's what it is in U.S)

My largest is nearly 12 inches another is 10 inches, 2 are 8inches 3are between 7-8 inches and 2 are between 3-4 inches.

I have 6 Oscars. 2 of them are albino Oscars. I call them my little monsters too. They are very picky eaters. All they want are live crickets and bloodworms. Tried to give a few other things like seaweed, beef heart and veggies but they stick their nose up to the glass like they are saying "OK wheres my REAL dinner? Lol.

Picky, picky, picky! I thought Oscars liked lots of stuff, apparently they don't. Do any of yours eat prepared foods?

Phoenix the fire eel isn't hard to care for my guy eats frozen bloodworms. I thaw them out a little then put my hand in the tank and he comes up to me and eats right out of my hand. I'd find out though how well it's eating before bringing him home.

I'm very new here and to some of the terms and abbreviations used. Quite curious as to what may be a monster fish? Does my 9" Red Devil qualify?

The term "Monster Fish" is loosely used around here for any large, agressive species or extreme predators. Many of which are found in the CA/SA region.

I think a 9" Red Devil counts to most people. Got a picture?

Thanks for the clarifications!! I will work on getting a couple of her up in the next little while. Just got a brand new DSLR for my anniversary and need a bit to upload, but I'll have an album with her and the Discus/community tank as well. Thanks again.
