Fishfool58 just buy corral sand mate ? That is enough too buffer your water mate

I will if I have too, I just wanted black sand.. Or like a 50/50 mix of black & white.. Ocean rock? Is that similar to lace rock?

Fishfool58 we don't get lace rock here in England mate,but you must be able to buy ocean rock where you are man.Test your own water out of the tap,to see what PH you have ? As people have told you,putting corral sand in the filter will sort your problem out

My pH is 7 out of tap, & I did that when I first made my Cichlid tank.. & my pH never got over 7.6.. But I'll try it again..
