Do they need sand as a substrate? Looking for a colorful fish for my mom's 60g tank and they looked cool. Current stock is 1 gourami, 1 pleco, 1, crayfish, 1 bolivian ram, and 4 angels.

No they don't need sand but adding one to that stock list will leave her with a single fish ultimately.

Lol I'm not sure where adding a fish with "terror" in the name to a peaceful tank would be a good idea haha

I wasn't sure if that was just the name or their temperament. LiveAquaria described them as semi aggressive so I wanted to be sure if I got one that he would not murder my tank.
