In a 55?

What SA/CA fish could I have in a 55? What would you guys put in a 55

For pairs I would do salvini, sanjica, fairy, HRP's, blue acara, or keyholes.

For singles I would do severum, GT, RD or Midas, or JD/EBJD.

That's it, maybe a bristlenose plec and a 55g is the mimimum for the single list as well. I'm personally not fan of singles, but the fish really do pay more attention to you and not tankmates but in reality it's boring to me, some people enjoy it.

Pairs that are within 6-8" are good but will require more maintenance.

I'd do a 75+ for more than one. They are more timid than regular JD's but they can reach similar max sizes, and their timidness only seems to apply to other fish with equal or greater aggressiveness.

75g minimum, but they are extremely slow growers.
