What kind of algae eater can I put in with mbuna? I have already tried 2 common plecos which have both died and I'm not sure which other choices I have.

What kind of algae eater do you want? With my brichardi's the only things that worked was a bristlenose pleco and some SAE's. Oto's got beat up, shrimp would get eaten.. Oh a snail worked as well.

Agree with bristlenose but even that's hit or miss depending on your fishes personality.

I reckon ottos! I love them! They are so cute! They stay small! And they cleaned up my diatoms in 2 days! Amazing! U just need to acclimate them properly! Do research before buying any fish is the way to go.

otos would quickly become snacks with mbuna. I'll second (or third?) the bristlenose suggestion
