why the woah?? and no no no, i still have the biocube setup, it will remain its own tank still. this rock is cured rock from a lfs

Just make sure to wait till all is zero before the cabbage gets added. Cured rock from an LFS is not always cured.

oh okay no lol but half the rock and sand was taken from a 10 gallon that just housed spare rock and my arrow crab. how far along am i in the cycle?

not sure at all, test again and we'll see

but judging from those past readings, not the slightest idea whats going on!

diatoms have covered my sandbed today. ill be testing tonight

edit: just tested now. diatoms on sand
ammonia-close to zero, probaly .05
nitrite- about .30
nitrate-10-15

Lateste readings:
Ammonia- >.05
nitrite-~.15
Nitrate-15-18

I attached some pics of the diatoms, wish i could snap some pics of the copepod explosion, my sand looks like its moving!

i also have two koralia 750's on the way, snagged em both for 50 total ;)
And I should be getting more liverock today

well i dont need more because im at 35 lbs but ill definitely be adding more because i loveto overstock with rock :) my 14 gallon has close to 30lbs lol. ill check out my other lfs today and maybe pick some more up

I'd consider moving it from the side glass. It's gonna get real funky over there and getting a scaper down there will be important to you. I've seen some who don't and prefer it that way. Looks ugly to me, but of course, "your mileage may vary". :)

haha thanks for the advice but i like the continous look. maybe ill pull it away just enough for the scraper to fit.

took your advice austinsdad, now theres enough room for a scrubber AND i made a cool cave in the process and a pod pile with a chaeto ball in the middle. success! pics when it clears

ALSO will my light be more effective if its suspended(see other pics) or if i have it directly on the hood? or does it not matter

new rock structure. water is still cloudy so bare with me. second pic is of the cave I built. like it? last pic is my pod pile with chaeto
