coraline on heater

do you guys know if having coraline on the heater will affect it in anyway?

Shouldn't affect it at all really. The only issue is if the temp control becomes inaccessable. Soaking it in a 1:1 water/vinegar solution should get rid of it easily enough though.

should scrape right off if its a problem.... I don't see it being a issue.

Don't scrape it, soak it instead. The solution will dissolve the coralline like butter on a stove. If the glass becomes scratched from scraping, it will weaken the overall strength making it much easier to break if bumped.
