Yes, unless you see a rapid decline, you should give him a week or two.

Mine was happy from day 1 but I'm guessing that was not normal. What kind of flow does it have? Mine seems to like moderate.

Should be good then from what I have seen. Mine just closed up for a couple days then slimed and is back to normal again. It could be something like that. Is it doing ok now?
