hairy mushroom reproducing

I just noticed yesterday that a hairy mushroom I received as a frag over the summer has started to split. The mouth has already separated in the middle and the rip is starting to work its way out to the edges. I expect it will complete in another day or two. Its pretty cool to watch.

Cool my mushrooms that i have are also spreading very rapidly isnt it a JOY!

Cool Congrats.... I noticed mt Ricoria ( sp ) has two mouths. Does that mean I am also about to have a split??

I first started to notice mine when the mouth started to get real stringy. At first I thought it was unhappy, because I've seen its mouth unravel a bit when the water conditions aren't just right. It wasn't long before I saw a hole appear and then I figured out what it must be doing. BTW - I just checked this morning and it is completely separated now. I've got two hairy mushrooms.
