do hermit crabs shed a shell cause i keep finding legs and claws also do emrals shed as well thanks

i think all crabs molt hermits will find new shells to move into as they grow but they still molt

cool thanks i had this one big ass hermit but i havent seen him in a while he was suppose to be a dwarf but he was huge i think he passed he grew so fast i miss him

I had one trade shells on me today. I got a new one that was in a shark's eye shell. Well, once I got it in the tank, it made a new home of my horse conch shell. I guess that's just ecology at work....
