I know everyone is sick of the ich threads. I forget how long to keep all my fish out of the DT for. Treating in hospital tank.

2 weeks I believe is the life-cycle of ich, maybe 3 to be safe if you can do it

If your not doing anything in the DT for the ich and letting it cycle through you need to wait 6 to 8 weeks.

To break the life cycle of the parasite you need to keep the main tank fishless for 8 weeks. I have known folks that tried 6 weeks and it did not work. Read these to learn more about the parasite.

Ok guys thanx. All idid was bring the temp up to 82 degrees. I don't want to endanger my corals

Increasing temperature only works with freshwater ich. Saltwater ich is a different beast, and increased temps do nothing. Just keep your display tank at its normal temperature, and fishless, and you'll be OK. (Don't forget to put a pinch of food in there every once in a while to keep the bacteria fed.)
