In-tank refugium

Anyone want to comment on their success or failure with an in-tank refugium? Because of limited space with my 50 gal. tank I am considering the small CPR in-tank refugium as a way of encouraging pods as a food source for my small tank.

If space is permitting it, I would look into the HOB style fuges that CPR makes. The in tank ones do not add any water volume to overall volume of tank, but the HOB models do. Only drawback is, they are considerably more expensive then the in tank model.
