LOL!! I just got back from fishing. (at a pond, not in my tank xD) caught like 3 perch.. meh.. (so much grass in the pond because of the temp)

The bag said "no rinsing required" so I believed it.. now I know when someting says "not required" it generally is. xD the sand is the caribsea "ocean direct" stuff. I know its not live, I didn't buy it for that reason. I bought it because pound for pound it was actually cheaper than the dry normal aragonite. (figure that out lol)
Just to prove there IS sand in there.
Heres the pics for match and anyone else that wants to see the sump and filter setup lol.
I'm thinking of getting my HOT magnum and finding the micron cartridge and trying to clear up the water that way. The only thing I'm worried about is it's on my FW tank full time (with the filter pad thing not the micron filter) if I rinse it out when I'm done with the SW clearning up can I still use it in the FW?

I plan on getting some base rock from the LFS in a few weeks. Maybe some LR too. Hopefully I'll at least have a clown in there before christmas. xD

Basically, all the tube is is a peice of airline that i have attached to a peice of plastic from the light (didnt need it lol) and it sits ontop of a filter sponge, that black cylinder thing that comes with it. The air is drawn through the tube instead of at the surface of the water (causing the sucking sound)
An ATO system can be super easy to make lol. I just scored mine for 20 bucks so I got lucky.
