Wow and how many of them did you buy or start off with, how big is the tank, how long did that take.... Holy cow that's crazy
 
I bought about a dozen, four different kinds. Most of the mushroom growth happened in about 5 years. It is stable now. The tank is 275 gallons, system is about 450 gallons. This reef is almost 20 years old now.

Lol and half us newbs pondered the question how get coraline algea to grow. Who needs that witj pink mushrooms.
 
Yes, I made a couple of these to transition frags to the main tank. Just black egg crate wire tied together. They are covered in pink algae, for some reason it likes to grow on them. I will take a close up, but a piece of purple tipped acro accidentally touched the back of one of these, now I have that coral growing on the egg crate. Starts as a green hard slime looking material and then one day it starts sprouting little towers. Really neat.
