Rock Question

I found a rock in my yard....sort of volcanic looking....It would look cool in my tank. If I clean it off really well and then boil it for a while, would it be ok to put in my tank? Would it turn into lr??? Thanks

You might be taking a chance with that. Without knowing what kind of rock it is you risk the chance of it leeching some unwanted stuff into the water.
