Seaclones are OK I have one on my 55 that pulls nice dark green slimmy skim but got to clean j tube collection cup weekly. I got it as a this will do for now but two years later still have it and honestly won't get another til I finish adding my frag tank and sump just because I'm adding about 50 gallons of more water tommy system so going to need a one for more volume of water but honestly I think its good as long as you keep up on cleaning and water changes. Also has taught me a lot about how to mess with and tune it skimmers I know what to look for because of a ton of research so its pulls good skim and kind of makes you keep an eye on the tank but that's just my opinion

sea clones are not the best skimmers yes but if you bore out the intake ports under the prefilter they work great this is my second one , like anything if you don't fine tune it it will not work right
I use 500gph pumps that I upgraded as soon as I got the skimmers along with fine tuning and tlc I get good results
I empty the skim mate daily (y)
this is my newest skimmer been running 2 days with no issues

been sitting looking at a empty tank :D
anyway think I'm leaning on rearranging a little I didn't leave enough shelving for corals
I'll get picts as it settles

well I got around to rearrange my rock work a little kinda like the way overhang looks , making room for the new corals I ordered

it should be here in about 2 weeks I'm not going to say what I ordered just to keep the curiosity going , I will say it cost me almost $400. :D
I also special ordered my Marine Betta he should be here around the same time

I can't get over how much this coral grew since I added my leds almost doubled in size
it was a hitchhiker on my rock still not sure what it is but boy it looks sweet!!
and wow how it inflates and waves in the water current looks even sweeter under the blues I'll try to get another pict

Wow didnt know they sold them...what degree did you end up getting?and how does it look with them?

think their 90* Ill have to check
look good directs light more towards the tank for full coverage

yes they look good as you can see light goes to tank no spill out really
and the lenses were 90* only prob lenses are to thick the case dont close right

flash went off in first pict
tried to show how there is no light spilling out into room

this one is all light directed in at 40% blues 50% white a little less than 1/2 power
if I turn it up you need sun glasses:cool: , it's so bright
so I keep it about 1/2 for now (y)

Hey 54, I've read the entire thread and didn't see too much about how you did your lid. I can see the diffuser, but don't understand how the glass comes into play. I can figure the hinges allow you open the top without completely removing it. I'm just wondering what the glass is for
