My yellow tail damsel has a large dark blue circle around his eye for about a week now and I can't figure out what it is ? Any ideas ?

Is it only the one eye that is affected? Possibly some loose scales. If there is no inflamation........I wouldn't worry too much, could simply be a stress reaction.

never seen that before,looks like he lost the fight 
stress of some sort or if he is doing good might be his marking coming though. had mine for 8yrs till my rock fell on him.

just seen the same thing at petco. asked the guy and he said it was his markings. how's yours doing? 8)
