29 or 30 with figure 8 puffers, ideas?

I want to do a 30 gallon brackish and I think I want the main fish to be a figure 8. Any ideas, or thoughts on tankmates, and live plants?

I would go with 3 Fig 8's. I don't know of any plants that do well in brackish except plastic ones.

Plants won't survive brackish conditions, you MIGHT be able to get vals to survive to 1.008 (which is what the figure eights will need). Otherwise you could grow some mangrove saplings in a floating piece of styrofoam until they're large enough to reach the substrate. Although that'd take about 3 years =)
