50g tank, stocking ideas?

Hi all,
Am about to start up a new tank and am brainstorming ideas for stocking it.
It will be sand substrate and medium planted.

At the moment I'm thinking a whiptail catfish, 1 or 2 Apistogramma pairs (hopefully A.trifasciata) and something for the top of the water column.
Any ideas or suggestions?

A school of hatchets would look really cool with the rest of that stocking. I love whiptail cats.

Thanks guys! I like the look of both of them so will make a decision based on what the lfs has in stock.
