Brown Algae...

So my 20g has brown algae, or at least I think it is. Is there any kind of snail that my convicts might not destroy, and won't overpopulate?

We keep nerites with our Cryptoheros kanna pair in a 20 gallon, so that might be an option for you. Although the kanna are closely related, they are reportedly a lot more mild mannered. Might be something to consider. The potential issue I see is that, without a steady supply of food (algae), the snails will be next to impossible to feed with the cons in there. I would not recommend adding any fish because I think the cons will kill other fish in such close quarters.
