I have two blue tiger shrimp in my tank and I believe I found the remains from one of them today. Odd thing is the remains were red/orange. was that actually a shrimp? I have only seen one recently.

I tested my water and everything is good. No ammonia no nitrite about 5 nitrate. I don't think it was as molting but I find it very strange that it was orange

I have ghost and RCS and when they die there bodies turn an orangish color. Actually it's about the same color as raw shrimp we would buy from the grocery store... Which I guess maybe makes sense when you think about it.

Sorry to hear about your shrimp though! They are cool little creatures.

If it's orange and looks like a cooked shrimp, then it's dead. :( If it's just white, and takes on a ghost-ish appearance, then it's a molt.
