Future Cichlid Tank

I know I have said that I was going to switch multiple times to a mbuna tank but because of unforeseen events I had to postpone it. My kribensis had babies right before I was going to sell them. So as a grandfather it was my responsibility to take care of the babies until they are all old enough to be sold.

Since I couldn't switch right away I thought least I could do was prepare for it. This is my 55g tank, and I recently did some redecorating for the African cichlids. I also bought some Anubias and java fern.

So far this is my process!

Thanks. I'm debating on either an all blue or all black background. I am not sure if I should use wallpaper incase I do not like it.

Or if I should use spray paint or roll paint the back. If I do this, could it be removed?
