Green puffer fish?

I want a 3 gallon with a green puffer fish what are their needs?

Do you mean 30 gallons? They really need like 40g and eventually need full marine setups.

There's a dwarf puffer that can be housed in nano tanks, but preferably you'd want at least a 5 gal or so as they're very messy.

Yeah, you would want the dwarf puffer..and they really do need a 5 gallon tank to themselves. 3 could prolly work still depending on filtration and stuff. There is a ton of.info about them on the forums..so just search them.

Like azmodan said, dwarf puffers need at least a 5 gallon tank. they do best alone and are freshwater. Feed them brine shrimp or blood worms.

Oh wow they are not even brackish?

No many pet stores sell dwarf puffers as brackish water. Green spotted puffers however are brackish water

Ok so 5 gallons for the dwarf can I put shrimp or snails like apple snails with him ?

You could try to add otos if the puffers aren't overly aggressive
