I have a 20 gallon long tank. It has a couple live plants in it and 4 platys currently. I would like to start stocking it little by little and I think I know what I'd like to stock it with. Here is what I would like the end result to be:

8 - Platy (Various Types)
4 - Cherry Shrimp
3 - Oto Catfish
1 - Betta (Not sure what type yet and would likely be last into the tank)

I'm looking for some feedback on this possible composition for my tank. Thanks all.

The betta and possibly the platies would eat the shrimp. Are you hoping for fry from the platies? Otos need an established tank with lots of algae.

Otherwise it sounds nice (y)

Just have a backup plan for platy fry, with that many females you'll be overrun with fry in shorter time than you'd think.
