Hello all,

This is a question from a newbie in this hobby (me!)... I'm in the middle of the process of cycling my 6gal tank. How do I know when has the tank completed the nitrogen cycle? it has been just about 3 weeks and I have 3 neon tetras and 3 platies in the tank. As of today all fish seems happy and alive!

As of last night, these are the water parameters:

Temperature: 24
PH: 7
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0.25
Nitrates: 5

Have a nice day! :)

When you have zero ammonia and zero nitrites and only NITRATES your cycle is complete.
