Just inherited a new fish and have no idea what it is

My grandfather died and left me around this fish, couldnt get his tank so this guy is stuck in my little 30 gallon tank untill later this week ill get a 75 but any ideas as to what this thing is and what to feed it? its literally a foot long http://postimg.org/image/t8pfjz3e3/

Hypselecara temporalis or common name chocolate cichlid.

I also recommend getting it in the 75 with some clean water asap. His fins look bad.

You are welcome. I would do some research on them. They have some special needs as far as diet and tank size goes.
