Did a 50% water change on my cichlid tank today and was surprised to see a baby orange cichlid shoot from a hole in my ocean rock, but there was only one :(

I do have a hatchery but couldn't catch the little bugger  and went to hide. As long as he/she can hide, shall I just leave him/her?

Also I saw one of my yellow labs shaking up against the intake pipe, it would move when a large cichlid came for a nosey then it'd return and know my water is fine, I just do 50% a week because mine love to be messy

I usually find a few fry growing out in my cichlid tanks when I strip them down for thorough cleanings. If they're really small I move them to other tanks, but at least a few have grown out on their own. One of the things I like about Africans is the small spawns, much easier to manage than SA or CA spawns of 100-300 fry.
