My young nephew overfed fish what can i do?

When fish are over fed and their tank even looks cloudy from it what should u do ? I scooped out floating leftovers. It's a new tank. Was just getti g the water right. Just a few frequent partial water changes? What would be best to do?

Has the tank cycled yet? That could be your problem. You could also be overstocked.

When in doubt, do a large (50%+) treated & temp matched PWC.

HN1 is absolutely correct. Change out a large quantity of water, paying careful attention to vacuuming out any visible food.
