I all, Im wondering if I had room for an Oto in my tank. I hear they ate alright to be kept singularly. It's a 10g tank with the following in it:
1 betta
8 neon tetras
1 apple snail
6-8 ghost shrimp

Thanks all!

They only problem I would see with 1 Otto is they do better in groups of 5 or more IMO. And I don't think with your stock in a 10 gal that would be sufficient room for them. :)

I have three ottos in my 29 gal and they do seem to stick together wuite a bit!! didn#t know they needed to be in groups of 5 though:ermm:

IMO no. Maybe if you had excellent filtration, pristine water conditions and a good amount of algae you could get away with a pair, but I'm still against it.
