I just learned about cycling but I already have fish. What now?!

That article will help you understand what you need to do to keep the tank inhabitants healthy while you are cycling. Even levels of 0.25 ammonia is going to be rough on the amanos though.

The only safe/ok level of ammonia is 0. Some fish can tolerate 0.25 for awhile... amano shrimp cannot.
