Carbon Rili Red Spots??

Hello community!
I've come today with something very odd and have 0 clue on what is going on. So I got myself one carbon rili (gift) and when it came it was a normal carbon rili color and shade. Today, 1 week in, I realized on both sides of its head there's red pigmentations.... I'll attach some pictures please let me know what's this all about!

Is it possible that at the time of pickup and for a few days after settling in that the shrimp was "washed out" temporarily? When I get new shrimp they are often faded or somewhat clear for a few days. After a while their color comes back.

That might be it, this morning I went to check up on it and the color is back. Why would it do that? So odd.
