Golden Mystery Snail reproduction

How often do these little guys reproduce? I had 2 in separate tanks and knocked off the eggs before they hatched. Looked again a couple weeks (or so) later and there were more in both tanks. Some of them already hatched. Now that I have moved them both into a bigger tank together, I don't mind having a few more snails, but I don't want to get over run with them. I wasn't overfeeding my other two tanks and I'm not doing the same now. Is that really the only way to keep them at bay or is it just going to happen regardless?

to stop the egg laying raise the water level to 1 inch of the top of the tank..they will not lay eggs in that tank again.
