I keep them in OEBT parameters (68 degrees) and u have plenty of flow in the tank...they have been very active and grown big for about 3 months now.

You can claim that air pumps make an adequate environment for hillstream loaches... but that doesn't make you correct and neither does having some survive for a little while. There's a reason why every care guide for these fish say the same thing (which is a huge rarity in this hobby)

First page of google search on hillstream loaches.. There's a bit of a trend.

Aquarium Fish: Tropical Freshwater Fish and Saltwater Fish for Home Aquariums
Hailing from fast-moving streams of Asia, the Reticulated Hillstream Loach requires an established aquarium that replicates conditions found in these environments. It is critical to maintain high water quality and aeration plus strong water movement to ensure the health of the Reticulated Hillstream Loach. A fast-moving, oxygen-rich environment can be achieved through the use of powerheads

Because they are from cooler waterways, they will do best in a "river" type aquarium kept with other gentle tank mates. Good water movement along with hiding and resting places created with plants, rocks, and driftwood in will be appreciated.

In theory, increased aeration in a tank will help these fish, but that's not the whole story. Because of their highly specialized adaptations, you'll never really get to see them living as they would in the wild. They'll tend to congregate around the airstone flow, or a power-head outlet, and not want to move out of the high O2 content water. Much better to work out a way of giving them a more natural, flowing tank. You'll end up with more natural behavior and it's possible that they'll be so happy, they may even feel inclined to breed, which is ultimately a good goal to strive for.

The first thing you should know about these amazing little fish is that they need lots of oxygen in the tank to survive. So they would need colder water, which can hold more oxygen then warm water, and would need a strong current

These fish will not thrive — in some cases, be able to live — in a standard community aquarium. Their tank must be set up quite differently; namely with cooler water, extreme high flow (uni-directional if possible) and high level of oxygenation.

Powerful filtration provided by external canisters with spray bar return/s and additional powerheads can ensure adequate flow and oxygenation, but a more effective method would be to install a piece of kit known as the 'river tank manifold'.

The water must be clean, well-oxygenated, and ideally turn over 15-20 times per hour so we suggest the use of an over-sized filter as a minimum requirement plus additional powerheads, airstones, etc., as necessary.
