I try to refrain from petco fish, my volitan came from them (only because I got him rediculously cheap) but other than him, its been negative experience. The quality just isnt there

Don't mind the hermit, he is blocking the other polyps LOL. But the polyps have been splitting and grwoing new heads the last few weeks.

This guy was about 12 inches in the store he's shrunk down to about 6 inches now, but he just went into the tank abotu 30 minutes ago so I;m sure he'll plump back up.

As far as the fish, I got him for $12 from petco, when I was there today they actually has the right SKU # up and he was supposed to be $28!! I would have been alot more po'd if I had spent $28 onhim and have him die like that. I also had a Kole tang I bought there which died. And I bought 3 cleaner chrimp too from petco and they were all killed by maybe my psitol shrimp or my tang. Not sure I can blame that on petco. LOL

But on the other hand, 95% of my community freshwater tank fish were bought there and I haven't lost a single one, and I even have the neons which get a bad rap for being not hardy.

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

Thanks. I;m really quite upset over the $12 fish. I mean I so checked him out before I left and he was totally fine. Ihate when stuff like that happens.

I'm due to move my blue tang into the tank soon and now I'm getting worried. I have been babying him in my 55g QT and would just die inside if he passed when I put him in the 125g.

really worried to be honest....I;m doubting myself about putting him in now, not just because of the death but because of my aplha yellow tang that rules the tank.

Maybe take the yellow tang out for a little while before you put the blue tang in, I did that to my rusty angel cause he was going after my baby clowns when I put them in and after about a week I put him back in and he hasn't messed with them since

And you have to trust yourself, just make sure you do everything right, and if he dies, it's not your fault, everyone that does this hobby knows fish dying isn't a surprise
