Carey's LAST Build- 125g Reef

Hey guys! i have missed you all! I've got a lot of reading to do to catch up with you all. lol

Just got home so it's time to go round the tanks and make sure all is well. I added several fish over the last few days, including a new copperband in the 125g. My last one just died, unfortunately due to my own stupidity. As a lesson, id you ever use flatworm exit, add twice the amount of carbon recommended. I lost the copperband, both my male and female anthias's and my last two blue reef chromis.

Twitchy (yellow tang) and Pootie (blue tang) are all well along with the tomini. I even have the pink spotted goby still lol. He is now my oldest fish. :)

Congrats on the new Butterfly though! I remember our Tang friends very well!

I will hopefully be building another SW soon! :)
 
Can't wait to see what you do this time Red, I'm sure it will be awesome. We have all learned so much from this site, I think with each build we do we get better and better. ;-)
 
Holy crap!! Just when i thought you were gone for good. Hows the tanks holding up? Hopefully nothing too bad has happened
 
I've had my ups and downs, just like any other reefer. Overall I think things are going pretty well in all the tanks. Other than the 5 fish dying due to the flatworm exit I havent had many losses. I've lost several tiny little fish but nothing big. Just added teeny tiny sailfin blenny yesterday to the cube, he is no bigger than your finger nail so i have my fingers crossed for him surviving.

I am still a little less than three months out from my wedding so I will try to be on as much as possible. :) After September though I should be back full time. Plus I have some plans for at least two new tanks so I will need to make threads for their builds. haha
 
Cool, I will keep my eyes peeled for the possible new builds. They are always fun to follow!

Huma- I have been thinking about getting rid of/getting smaller furniture in one room to accommodate more tanks. Good ole MTS! :)
 
Yey Carey's back ..congrats on the wedding and I'm sure I speak for everyone were glad your back and yur tanks are doing well..
 
Hehe still trying to get the fish pictures from my phone to my computer so i can make a nice picture filled thread. You guys know how much I love taking those shots. lol

So far my new copperband in this tank has only been eating pods. :-( He ate frozen at the store and it's been 6 days, starting to get worried. On a bright note, the new lawnmower blenny i put in on Thursday is eating algae just fine, no frozen flake or pellet so far just algae. But there is enough algae in the tank for him to last quite some time. Been battling green hair algae for about a month now. grrr so frustrating

Does your phone have the AA app? If so, maybe you could upload them from there. If you are using photobucket, I believe they may have an app depending on which phone you have.

I am glad the Lawnmower is doing well, they are so cute! I hope you have better luck with your Butterfly! :)

I can't wait for the pictures, it's always fun to see others' tanks!
 
Just as a quick comment on MTS, ive already told my loving girlfriend that when we buy our first house, the livingroom will accomodate a 300g tank.... (which she doesnt know means our current 125 will go in the bedroom) ;)

Good to see you back. Not much changed here, just still growing really old fish. My coral beauty turned 12 this week. Added a blue jaw trigger that now runs the reef. Still watching Dary grow mushrooms.
Hope the wedding goes well. Been married 30 years. So I guess I like it....
 
Hey carey welcome back. I to am planning for our upcoming wedding( more like working a lot to pay for it.) Good to see your doing well.
 
Hey guys, the upgrade for this tank has officially begun!! I have the stand in the garage so it's now just some piece meal parts I need and of course the tank. lol

Here she is, in all her glory....Not bad for $125
