This is just a standard T5 high output (HO) fixture. Still a very good fixture, and should allow you to keep softies and LPS, maybe some SPS as well.

You should look into getting coral, you can get small frags for pretty cheap that will eventually grow into big expensive corals haha. Might have to wait till after the little guy comes though (congrats!), every penny counts!

Once everything settles down a bit, start looking into soft coral. Not much needs to be done after it is added besides water changes and bulb changes. Zoanthids and shrooms are good starters.
