My yellow tang's dorsal (top) fin, normally a continuous stream, has two very clean vertical splits or slices in it, going down to a little bit before its body. No other signs of any problem.

Anyone seen this or have any ideas?

Thanks.

With good water conditions and nutritional feedings, it should heal up fine with no intervention from you. It is typically a sign of some type of aggression or trauma.

Thanks...glad to hear it. I haven't seen any signs of aggression, or any other problems in the tank, though I do realize the tank is crowded (that's another story). Everything's done well, and I do keep up with tests, water changes, etc.
