I started cycling on the 23rd ( with fish, mislead)

I do not have any water stats until the 27th other than I did 50% water changes everyday.

27th

Ammonia .50ppm (did a 75% water change)

nitrite 0

nitrate 0

PH 7.6

28th

Ammonia .50 ppm ( did a 95% water change, retested afterwards got 0ppm)

Nitrite 0

Nitrate 0

PH 7.6

I'm using stress coat and stress Zyme

I think I'm going to have to do 95% water changes whenever I get .50 ppm ( I would do 100% but I got fish in there). I gotta leave a little bit for them.

I would rehome my fish but I can't.

For the first week I think I'm getting into control of the ammonia.

Can't wait till Nitrites start registering on my API master test kit.

I, personally, think that 95% is too much, and you're highly restricting the amounts of ammonia, which might end up really slowing the cycle. I would personally go with around 75% water change instead, and the cycle should speed up.

Well it is kinda hard to measure what percentage I did. I know I had at least 3-4 gallons left in my 10g tank. My bucket holds 11 Quarts. I did two trips.

But thanks for that tip! I was just worried.

Three trips. Sorry. But I didn't do a full trip on that one. I did maybe 2 gallons on the last trip.

So 11 Quarts = 2.75 gallons

Times two= 5.5 plus 2 more gallons. So Roughly i'd say I did 7.5 gallon change.
