I have some hair?? algae on one of my tiger lotus plants and would like to know if there is something that will get rid of it before it takes over. I have a 12 gallon Nano planted and it's only 2 1/2 months old and am not over feeding and have two platties and two ottos in it thinking about some cherry shrimp but I'm sure they can't tackle the hair algae or can they? should I try a certain type of snail?? I only know how to get rid of saltwater algaes... Thanks in advance!

hi trish, i think your answer would be better answered in the planted tank forum. i think true siamese algae eaters can do the job.
