Need Help Starting Fish Tank

I won a small goldfish at the state fair last weekend and bought him a 10 gallon tank. I didn't cycle the tank and I just put him in there with a filter and some of the water conditioner. The fish seems ok but his fins are tucked and he swims into the side of the tank a lot. What are some things that I need to do so that he doesn't die and is happy? Thanks

Which kind of GF do you have, a Comet?

You need Prime water conditioner and get the little bit bigger bottle if you can because with a GF and a fish in cycle you will need it and get a pack of eye droppers so you can use the correct amount of it, otherwise one tends to use much more than necessary.
