Stupid question

Hey guys well I just noticed on my 55 gal tank when my heater starts up it has a blue spark on the inside. Is this normal. It's a tetra ht 55 or somthing like that. Thanks

Ok just making sure because the red light will turn on and ill see a blue spark light up behind it. Ik the heater is "electric" heater meaning it heats with electricity. Dad and I were just a bit parinoid

What brand of heater is this? I have never seen a blue spark, or anything producing light of any kind, other than the indicator light, in any heater. I've used Hydor, Marineland, Fluval, Eheim...

I would replace it. It seems like there is a arch. It will probably fail soon.

+1 I would replace it. Try Marineland Visitherm or Eheim Jager.
