emerald crab

My emerald crab died yesterday and I don't know why. Had one die in another tank a couple of months ago? does anyone know what I could be doing wrong? How long do they live in captivity? Any suggestions before I buy another?

How big was he? If he was fully grown when you got him, he may have been near the end of his lil life.

Other than age, many things could cause death. Crab fights, a tank that once had copper put in it, pH swings, ect. Could be the same reason your trumpet coral is upset.

You might have violent pH and/or temperature swings happening in the tank.

Make sure he really did die. The molt looks just like the real thing.
